// FAQ's
Where do you source your produce?
All of the fresh produce is sourced locally from Certified Organic Farmers and where possible, bulk organic food items are sourced from local suppliers also.
What kind of ingredients do you use?
We only use fresh and certified organic ingredients of the highest quality.
Our food items do NOT include any:
Refined sugar, artificial ingredients, canola oil, vegetable oil, seed oils, preservatives, Processed ingredients, Gluten*, Lactose*, casein or whey - *There is one exception that includes gluten & dairy, and its the bechamel for the lasagne on the meat menu.
Are your meals organic?
They sure are! We are extremely passionate about health and ensure all ingredients are 100% organic.
Are your meals vegan?
Our meals are primarily meat based, deeply aligned with our ancestral roots and the belief that nutrient dense animal foods are vital for wellbeing, especially for mothers and growing children. That said, we do offer a vegan option. We believe true gut health comes from diversity, and that means embracing a wide range of seasonal vegetables, legumes, and ethically sourced meats. This variety supports a thriving gut microbiome, which plays a key role in disease prevention and overall health. We love the work of Dr. Will Bulsiewicz if you're curious to explore more on the power of fibre and diversity in the diet.
Our postpartum meals are also crafted with organic bone broth and ghee as their nourishing base. We also offer a vegan option if preferred. Our approach is rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom and traditional postpartum practices, where warming, grounding foods help replenish a mother’s strength and vitality after birth. Ghee and broths are deeply revered for their ability to warm the body, restore digestion, and rebuild energy stores.
We also honour the Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, which speaks to the importance of replenishing Qi, the vital life force that flows through the body. After birth, it’s believed that a woman’s Qi is depleted, and through intentional nourishment, warmth, and rest, this energy can gently return. Our meals are a small, heartfelt offering to support that return ♡
Can you accommodate food allergies?
We absolutely can. Just send us an email if you have any questions or requests! help@thevillagemumma.com
Note: many of our items are prepared in facilities that process wheat, soy, peanuts, dairy, and tree nuts. Whilst we take absolute care to prevent cross-contamination, if you have an extreme allergy please note that cross-contamination is still a possibility with our food.
If you have questions about our ability to accommodate your food allergies, please email us at help@thevillagemumma.com so we can discuss whether we'll be able to cook for you.
What do you use to package the meals?
We pride ourselves with our eco consciousness. Let's face it, we want to ensure we do our 110% best to protect this earth for our children, grandchildren and future offspring. Your meals will come in a glass jar which is collected on delivery day. We sterilise the jars and then reuse them, minimising the impact on the earth. If you chose to partake in our recycling program, you will benefit from a continuous discount on your weekly meal (after all, we want to pass down our savings on to you!)
Where do you deliver to?
Currently we offer delivery to the Gold Coast within a 30km radius of Tallebudgera. Our meals are small batch, made fresh weekly and never frozen, so for now, keeping our meals close to home maintains both freshness and integrity of our meals and our hearts work.
We also offer free collection from Tallebudgera on Wednesdays. As we grow, we’re exploring ways to expand our reach while staying true to our values, so if you're outside our delivery zone, please reach out. We'd love to hear from you ♡
